As part of the Bass Workshop, Ibanez have released the new SRFF805 electric bass guitar. This five-string Soundgear bass stands out for its fanned frets and beautiful black stained oil finish. Fanned frets provide a scale that is longer on the bass side (35.5 inches) and shortens towards the treble side (34 inches). This results in more defined bass tones while the trebles maintain their full sound. With highly stable lower strings and flexible higher strings, this bass is very comfortable to play.

Thanks to the fanned fret placement, they closely follow the natural movements of your left wrist which greatly enhances playing comfort. The thin ash Soundgear body features a five-piece bolt-on neck made of jatoba and bubinga, and is fitted with a rosewood fretboard. This makes for a solid bass guitar with a comfortable light weight and the perfect balance between warm and bright sounds. The Ibanez Mono-rail V bridge offers extra tuning stability and maximum sound transfer.

When looking at the pickups, you'll be surprised by the two superior Bartolini humbuckers. These passive BH1 soapbars are a great amplified addition to the core acoustic sound of the SRFF805. With just the right amount of articulation, this warm core sound can be even further adjusted by means of the active Custom 3-band equalizing. Do you want to switch between active and passive? You can with the EQ bypass switch - this allows you to play an extremely wide range of different music styles like jazz, pop, funk, and rock.
