To buck the trend of vintage-styled short-scale basses, Ibanez have stuffed the SRMD200 with enough modern upgrades to bring it bang up to date. The light weight of the poplar body and the tight and sleek playing comfort of the SR Mezzo has been based on the incredibly popular Soundgear models, while the look and sound has been brilliantly freshened up. The bolt-on maple neck, Custom Electronics preamp with two-band EQ, and pair of mounted Dynamix single-coils give all the mouth-watering, character-filled tone you'd ever want from a modern instrument, and the shorter 32-inch scale length, 12-inch fretboard radius, and the shaping of the SRMD4 neck all combine to make playing this bass feel effortless.
