Built under license in Germany, in a climate-neutral workshop, and with extra attention paid to material and wood choices, this high-spec bass breathes conscious elegance. The neck has been shaped from stable roasted maple and topped with an ebony fretboard, and the body is a slice of African okoume topped with a unique sliver of Californian AAAA figured Claro walnut, lending this instrument a complex and exclusive look. Couple that up with the snug and familiar feel of the 12-inch fretboard radius and C-profile of the neck, and you get a luxuriously comfortably bass.

Besides the smoothly rounded edges of the body, this high-quality bass comes with a few more modern tweaks and features to ensure a more-than-satisfying contemporary sound. The active preamp boasts two-way electronics and has been combined with two Sadowsky-developed passive soapbar-style pickups. This combo delivers defined and balanced tone that can be brought to shape using the two-band EQ boost, or nudged into a more old-school direction using the vintage tone control. Meanwhile, a solid and ultimately practical bridge provides quick-string release for slick string changes, and the Just-A-Nut III nut and set of lightweight Sadowsky open gear tuners gift the Metroline 4-string with its excellently solid intonation and stable tuning.
