At a considerately attainable price, Squire serve up a bass with a traditional core enhanced by modern finishes. From the snug and supple feeling of the satin-gloss finish of the thinner, C-profile maple neck to the flatter 12-inch fretboard radius and smaller, higher frets. The two single-coil pickups are offer a further modern touch with ceramic magnetic cores and a fat output with excellent definition and presence.
The Contemporary Jazz Bass: Past Meets Present
To dial the passive sound of this bass into perfect shape, each pickup has its own dedicated volume pot while a single tone pot control adds the finishing touch. The classic curves that form the high-gloss finished J-bass body are in all the right places while chrome-plated hardware including standard open tuners and a four-saddle bridge, ensure that this Squire Jazz is as stable and dependable as it is a pleasure to play.
