General
The Machinedrum SPS-1 UW MKII has the same interface and the same advanced effects system as its little sibling, the SPS-1, but the UW (User Wave) adds 2.5MB sampling to the mix. Furthermore, the UW model also offers 48 ROM sample slots for even more sound options, and 64 step patterns!
The SPS-1 UW MKII's dynamic 12-bit sample machine imbues the samples with a bit more personality. This Machinedrum model is a great partner-in-crime for the modern-day DJ. The RAM machines can be used to create loops and remix tracks on the fly.
Of course, all the features from the 'regular' SPS-1 are also present in this version: both its world-class drum synthesizers and its extensive MIDI sequencer capabilities.

En de levering was, zoals wij van de Bax-Shop gewend zijn, helemaal top. Ene dag bestellen, volgende dag ophalen bij de Primera hier om de hoek. Je wènt gewoon aan die service, maar ik wilde het toch nog eens benadrukken: BAX-SHOP!! LÈKKKÂH BÉZIG!!!

Het is bijvoorbeeld mogelijk om andere synths aan te sturen, deze realtime op te nemen, en dit tegelijkertijd afspelen, sequencen, reversen en toevoegen van effecten (distortion/delay/reverb/filter). Bizar!
Tegenwoordig worden de UW versies standaard met +drive geleverd. Per project kan je 2,5mb samples hebben, maar door de +drive kan je dus 128x 2,5mb samples uploaden naar het apparaat. Je kan zelfs tijdens het afspelen wisselen van samplebank, zonder dat de muziek stopt of het apparaat zijn sync verliest. Al met al erg enthousiast!

Heb lang getwijfeld over de aanschaf, maar de nu toch wel aantrekkelijke prijs van 1200,- euro heeft de doorslag gegeven. Bij de concurenten nog steeds voor bijna 1500,- euro. Zelfs in de onlineshop van Elektron voor 1500,- euro.
Kan bijna niet wachten tot morgen, dit worden weer vele uurtjes plezier met de machinedrum, dat weet ik zeker! Binnenkort zal ik mijn bevindingen achterlaten!
