General

The Festival Classics book by Carl Fischer features parts written especially for the alto saxophone and familiar classics that are rearranged for the instrument. The 21 songs with varying difficulty levels are great for recitals or for use as teaching material. Compared to other instruments, the saxophone is a relatively young instrument - it was only developed in the year 1840. Still, classical pieces sound great when played on an alto sax, thanks to its beautifully warm sound. Mozart and Wagner will sound as great as ever. Finally, the book also comes with a CD with piano accompaniment, both in MP3 format and as PDF sheet music.
