General
This SG2 from Yamaha offers the largest bore of any Custom Saxophone neck. It is made for the YSS-875EX Custom Ex soprano saxophone. This powerful instrument offers a rich, complex sound. By choosing the right neck, you can personalise the sound even more to develop your own playing style. The large bore of this neck gives more freedom, but is more difficult to play. Therefore, it is not recommended for beginning students. It is made of brass, for good resonance, and it is finished with a gold lacquer. This variant has a straight neck, which is better for certain purposes. A curved variant is also available (SG2R)
