The Odyssey Wind Instruments OFH1750BF Premiere Bb/F French Horn is a French horn made of brass with nickel tubes and a leather handle for extra comfort. Like Odyysey's other brass instruments, this beautiful instrument was designed by craftsman Peter Pollard and comes with a sturdy hard case. That one got an interior of soft plush that protects your horn during transport. You can also carry it on your back and two extra compartments are provided for accessories.
Double tuning
A French horn consists of more than 3.5 metres of copper tubes rolled up and linked together in a very ingenious way. Depending on whether you close the valves or leave them open, the air you blow into them takes a different path and so you get to hear different notes. Often the basic notes are those of the scale of Bb or F, but this OFH1750BF Premiere offers both tunings. By pressing the fourth valve, you can switch between Bb and F, according to the notes you want to play.
