For decades, American-built vintage Epiphone models have been a must-have for all hardcore guitar connaisseurs and now, to offer more guitarists that same antique quality, Epiphone offer up the semi-acoustic USA Casino. Part of their USA Collection, this six-string hasn't just been brought back to please John Lennon fans, but to provide blues, soul and jazz guitarists with the sound and feel of an original Epiphone design. So, besides the signature body shape, this model boasts the snug and authentic playability that only the Rounded C neck profile of a 100% American Epiphone can offer. To get this legend of a thinline archtop safely between rehearsals and gigs, it comes with a matching hard case.
The Epiphone USA Collection Casino: Life-Packed Acoustic Sound, Raw & Tight Electric Sound
The body has been built out of two plies of maple and one ply of poplar before being sealed in nitrocellulose lacquer, which doesn't just lay down a stable base, but packs the core sound with a lively and powerful yet tight sonic character. To round off the trebles and warm up the acoustic sound, Epiphone have then fitted a mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard. Amplified, two USA P-90 Dogear pickups, each hand-wired and combined with a familiar set of tone and volume pots that are fully backed up by period-correct Orange Drop capacitors, deliver sweet, vintage rawness. To finish in throwback style, the Epiphone USA Collection Casino has been mounted with an ABR-1 bridge and trapeze tailpiece.
