In tight collaboration with the much celebrated master-guitarist Larry Carlton, Sire serve up the H7 semi-acoustic. This refined thinline hollowbody has been lovingly based on Mr. 335's most played and beloved guitar. The careful and detailed study of Larry's own electric archtop is immediately evident in the look, feel and electronics, where the mounted pair of humbuckers and controls have been specially voiced according to the very specific demands of the acclaimed session musician himself. Meanwhile, a tastefully flamed maple top and ebony fretboard take care of both the foundation acoustic sound and aesthetics. This double-cut hollowbody offers exacting build quality and matching sound and comes at a surprisingly attainable price.

This is my first "335" style guitar, my others being Strat, Tele and Les Paul's, and since buying this Black H7, I've been wondering why I never tried one before. These are superb instruments regardless of the price tag, and when you factor that in, they really are unbelievable value. The lovely, rolled edge ebony fretboard is a joy to play straight out of the box, and the general finish is flawless. The hardware is top quality, especially the tuners, and the tuning stability across different temperatures is very impressive. I'm running a vintage Matamp rig with a Gig Rig pedal board and this guitar sounds every bit as good as my Custom Shop Gibson's, and unlike Gibson, Sire can finish a neck binding without steps and ridges in it! I cannot recommend these guitars highly enough, and with the special offer that Bax were offering, and their excellent level of service, this has been an exceptional buying experience.
