The semi-acoustic Gretsch G2622T has a classic thinline form finished with a Bigsby B70 vibrato tailpiece while a pair of high-output pickups give this Streamliner Center Block some 21st-Century-worthy amplified sound. The two Broad’Tron BT-2S humbuckers supply solid basses framed by bright and defined accents, all of which is fully supported by the deep and mid-rich acoustic foundation sound of the laminated maple body.
The Gretsch G2622T Streamliner Centerblock: Adjusto-Matic Tone & No Feedback
The 'Center Block' literally refers to the block of spruce that runs through the centre of the body, reinforcing the top and preventing any feedback from interrupting the playability, even when the volume is cranked up. The classic and fuss-free control configuration gives you no more and no less than is needed to pull all the potential out of this semi-hollowbody, and meanwhile, the anchored Adjust-O-Matic bridge, synthetic bone nut and die-cast machine heads guarantee excellent tuning stability. Finished with the legendary tone-bending sound of the Bigbsy B70 tailpiece, the G2622 is every bit the modern classic - a hybrid of current humbucking potency with a traditional thinline archtop construction.
