The Streamliner Series from Gretsch offers a range of high-quality hollowbody guitars at incredibly generous prices. So, while affordable, the highly versatile G2655 Streamliner comes kitted out with a Gretsch V Stoptail tailpiece, a graceful double-cutaway body and all the supple and comfortable playability you would expect from Gretsch.
The G2655 Streamliner Center-Block Junior: Acoustic Sound & Stability
The laminated maple body of this semi-acoustic is finished in a high-gloss and the set-in nato neck is topped with a laurel fretboard. This not only looks sleek but shapes the full, creamy foundation sound and punchy accents this guitar produces. Under the top of this Streamliner Junior, you'll find a chunk of lightweight spruce running the length of the body, not only to support the overall construction but to help eliminate feedback.
Broad’Tron Humbuckers & V Stoptail
The amplified sound of the G2 is voiced by a potent pair of Broad’Tron humbuckers. These double-coil pickups deliver solid basses, growling mids and surprisingly sparkling trebles that retain balance without ever getting too shrill. The unique tone of this model supports both rhythm and lead techniques and is fully stabilised by an anchored Adjust-O-Matic bridge, an ever stylish V-Stoptail and a synthetic bone nut, that not only secure the tuning and intonation but give the sustain a sweet boost.
