The Gretsch G2655 Streamliner Center Block Junior is a semi-acoustic guitar with Broad'Tron humbuckers that offer a unique, versatile sound at an excellent price. This model has a stoptail tailpiece and a double cutaway so that you can experience 'That Great Gretsch Sound' and high playing comfort at the same time. Want to play jazz, blues, or rock at high volume levels? The spruce Center Block and Broad'Tron double-coil pickups make it all possible.
G2655 Streamliner Center Block Junior: stable sound & construction
This semi-acoustic Gretsch has a semi-hollow body made of laminated maple with a set neck made of nato and a laurel fretboard that combine to give it a full sound with creamy accents that are rounded and punchy. Underneath the top of this Streamline Junior, there's a block of spruce that run through the body which not only keeps feedback to a minimum, it also adds extra stability to the overall construction.
Broad’Tron and V Stoptail
The two Broad’Tron humbuckers on this Streamliner deserve special attention. They're a powerful pair of pickups that deliver solid bass, growling mids and sparkling highs, which makes this guitar sound so unique. Finally, the Anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, stylish V stoptail, and synthetic bone string nut contribute to the great tuning stability of this high-quality Center Block Junior.

Het lakwerk en de bindings zien er schitterend uit. Nergens een stukje dat vergeten is. Het enige minpuntje dat ik kon vindenzijn wat verweerde vlekjes op het brugelement. Dat vind ik overigens niet erg, het vergroot de vintage uitstraling van de Gretsch :)
En hoe speelt\klinkt hij? De gitaar is speelklaar afgesteld, alleen even stemmen. Actie en intonatie behoefden geen aanpassing. Fijne hals, ook zittend comfortabel te bespelen en de klank is mooi.
Kopen dus :)
