This Gretsch Electromatic Series offering features the shimmer and sparkle of a 12-string setup and the traditional double-cut build of a Classic Hollowbody DC. A pair of FT-5E Filter'Tron pickups tighten up the output, enhancing rich and resonant sustain, while the fifties-throwback, in-house-developed trestle block bracing significantly reduces feedback while increasing acoustic depth and warmth - resulting in masterful, superb tone.
The Grestch G5422G-12: Glittering Gretsch Sound
Just like preceding Electromatic models, this special hollowbody has been given the full deluxe treatment, starting with a smaller '50s G6120 headstock with binding, moving on to a Gold Plexi pickguard complete with classic black logo, and finishing with a set of gilded hardware. The master volume pot is lent the support of a treble-bleed circuit to prevent loss of clarity when the volume is pulled back, while the full range of unmistakable Gretsch-coated sound can be dialled in via a versatile control layout, and optimal tuning stability is assured by a Graph Tech NuBone nut, an Adjusto-Matic bridge, and a set of twelve closed oil-bed machine heads.
