The previous version of the Gretsch G5422T Electromatic was quite a gem. Everything great about it has remained intact in this enhanced version, including its impressive laminated maple body and peppy blacktop Filter'Tron pickups. The Bigsby vibrato unit has also stayed put, which is what gives this G5422T its legendary Gretsch sound! The treble bleed circuitry has been added and together with some gorgeous visual details, Gretsch fans will agree this guitar's upgrade has been a success!
Electromatic 2016
In 2016, Gretsch decided to give their popular Electromatic series an update. At first glance, the changes are barely noticeable, but it's those small details that elevate the 2016 Electromatics to the next level. Inside, the adjustments have been limited so 'That Great Gretsch Sound' remains intact. All 2016 Electromatic guitars have extremely handy treble bleed circuitry, which ensures that higher frequencies are able to cut through the mix, even at lower volume levels.
