This Gretsch G5422T Electromatic Orange Stain has been given some awesome upgrades. For starters, this semi-acoustic now sports pearloid thumbnail position markers and the Electromatic logo is now on the pickguard. The binding along the body is aged, and the neck has been given a binding as well. All these relatively small visual upgrades add up to give the G5422T the luxurious appearance it deserves. Under the bonnet, it's been equipped with the beloved Gretsch treble bleed circuitry and a high-quality NuBone string nut for even more playing comfort.

As mentioned before, everything that makes this Gretsch a Gretsch has been preserved. As you can see, the double cut body made of laminated maple has remained intact, as well as the blacktop Filter'Trons. This Gretsch G5422TT in Orange Stain delivers, just like its vintage counterpart, 'That Great Gretsch Sound'. Other details like a Bigsby tremolo, the beautifully-finished sound holes, and any the other familiar elements that make this instrument a true Gretsch, are also present in the 2016 Electromatic Collection version. In 2016, Gretsch decided to give their popular Electromatic series an update. At first glance, the changes are barely noticeable, but it's those small details that elevate the 2016 Electromatics to the next level. Inside, the adjustments have been limited so 'That Great Gretsch Sound' remains intact. All 2016 Electromatic guitars have extremely handy treble bleed circuitry, which ensures that higher frequencies are able to cut through the mix, even at lower volume levels.
