Gretsch has marked the occasion of its 130th anniversary by issuing a limited number of special hollow-body guitars. This semi-acoustic Gretsch G6118TLH-LTV 130th Anniversary Jr. (Black), a left-handed edition of the G6118T-LTV, features a body with an arched top and back and a lavish yet durable gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Its top is black, while its sides and back have a sumptuous gold colour.
Details of the G6118TLH-LTV
Both the body and the three-piece neck of the Gretsch G6118TLH-LTV are made of maple, while the bridge base and fingerboard are fashioned from ebony. The fingerboard is fitted with inlaid Thumbnail-style position markers, and the guitar also features Sperzel locking tuners, an Adjusto-Matic bridge and vintage-style frets. A stylish Bigsby B3CB tailpiece with tremolo arm is the icing on the cake.
TV Jones Power'Tron pickups
The two TV Jones Power'Tron pickups of the G6118T-LTV are modelled after the TV Jones Filter'Tron Classic, but pack more power in the mid range and provide a higher output. They give your bass strings a deep, clear twang and add a richness to your trebles. The sound of these TV Jones Power'Tron pickups is reminiscent of the 1950 PAF Humbucker, but has the pervasiveness of a Filter'Tron - in short, a sound worthy of a Gretsch guitar!
