General

A number of the most popular Guild classics are being brought back with the Newark St. Collection. Now guitarists can once again enjoy the looks and sounds that formed the foundation of pop and rock music as we know it today. Each of the guitars in the series, including the Guild M-75 Aristocrat (Black), is hand-crafted and remains true to the looks and sound of its predecessor. The playability has also been improved to be more compatible with modern music genres.

M-75 Black: chambered

One of the most noticeable features of the M-75 Black is the chambered body, which means in other words that it's a semi-hollow body guitar. As such, it's comfortable and lightweight, while it still delivers the kind of resonance you'd expect from a larger guitar. The two single-coil pickups - Guild Frequency-Tested single-coils - that were so popular in the '50s are responsible for the bright, punchy signal that goes to your amplifier.

Construction and details

Spruce was used for the top of the guitar, and the rest of the body is fashioned from warm yet resonant mahogany. Furthermore, thanks to a rugged 3-ply mahogany and maple construction, the neck is incredibly stable, as is the tuning, thanks to the Grover Sta-Tite tuners. The lovely golden hardware adds a nice touch of elegance, from the decorative tailpiece to the Adjusto-Matic bridge. This guitar comes with a case for safe storage and transport.
