General

The Ibanez LGB300-VYS George Benson has a pleasingly classical look and is styled like an instrument from yesteryear. It may be a new model, but its vintage appearance (the colour, the f-shaped holes) looks like it's been dropped from the dawn of electric guitar production. Don't be fooled by its looks though. This is a truly modern instrument, especially when it comes to playing technique. Its sound is optimal, just the way George Benson likes it so you can effortlessly play supple and agile phrases like the master. The Super 58 humbuckers mounted at the neck and bridge, each with their own dedicated tone and volume controls, you have an abundance of sounds. The ebony fretboard provides a warm, clear tone and the maple body with spruce top also contribute to the pure pleasure of the sound this guitar is capable of.

If you're awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, you've clearly done something right. Jazz guitarist and songwriter 'Little' George Benson (1943) is legit musical royalty. Over the years, Benson has worked with some pretty big names, including Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Al Jarreau and many many others. His compositions for jazz, funk R&B and soul have yielded many Grammy Awards. So, if someone knows how to build a guitar, it's definitely Benson. This signature model from Ibanez is a worthy dedication to one of the true Kings.
