Compiled to up the game of any intermediate rock or metal drummer, the Mapex Birch Stage five-piece shell set can form the core of a fearsome and powerful kit. This pack includes a 22 inch by 18 inch bass drum, a 10 inch by 7 inch and 12 inch by 8 inch rack tom, a 16 inch by 14 inch floor tom and a 14 inch by 6.5 inch snare. The larger kick drum and toms feature 6-ply, 7.2 millimetre thick birch wood shells, laying down the necessary force and tonal punch, while the matching birch snare is a touch deeper than standard, supporting bigger, more explosive volume. The rack toms come kitted out with the same SONIClear Suspension System as the high-end Mapex Saturn Series models, effectively minimising hardware-to-shell contact and boosting the resonance and, since each shell has been finished with SONIClear bearing edges, you're also assured of stable and responsive drumhead tuning.
