Palmer PPB20 20-way microphone and line splitter

General

The Palmer PPB20 is a 20-way microphone or line-level splitter designed specifically for press conferences. It can split a balanced mono sound source, such as a microphone or mixer, into 20 outputs to make the signal available to multiple devices. To facilitate connection, the 20 outputs are accessible from the front of the device. The inputs can even be connected from both the front and the back. Each of the 20 outputs has its own ground lift switch, with which any ground loop problems can be remedied. They are also separated from the inputs by means of a transformer.

Extensive possibilities

Separate XLR connections are provided for line and mic-level signals. All outputs also have a solid balanced XLR connector. Outputs 19 and 20 are equipped with jack and cinch connectors in addition to the XLR. For easy monitoring, a headphone jack with volume control is provided. In addition, the input level can be monitored with the LED meter. The unit has its own power supply unit, but can also be powered via a DC connection if necessary, for example when using a battery or emergency power supply. For those who find 20 outputs still not enough, it is possible to link several PPB20 units via the BUS IN/OUT connections at the rear.
