Pearl P-800CX Single-Chain Drive Bass Drum Pedal

General

The Pearl P-800CX is a complete single-bass drum pedal that combines a lightweight design with practical adjustment options. The Eliminator-style footplate provides a foundation for fast and powerful bass drum playing. Beneath the footplate, a single chain works in conjunction with a round, gearless Perfect Circle cam. This combination ensures linear movement, allowing you to transfer power to your bass drum from the very first foot movement. The footplate features a brushed chrome finish. Are you looking for a pedal that’s durable yet allows you to tailor the feel to your liking? Then this Pearl pedal has all the necessary features to meet your needs.

Adjust the feel to suit your preferences

A good bass drum pedal should suit your playing style. That’s why, with the P-800CX, you can adjust both the angle of the beater and that of the footplate. The beater angle is infinitely adjustable, so you’re not restricted to a limited number of positions. The spring tension can also be adjusted, allowing you to set the pedal’s resistance to your liking. The Click-Lock mechanism helps to maintain the selected spring tension. This allows you to try out different settings and fine-tune the pedal to your preference. Whether you’re looking for lighter or firmer resistance, the key adjustment options are right at your fingertips.

Two sound characters, easy to carry

With the included DuoBeat beater, you can choose between two different striking surfaces. The felt side gives you the nuanced, more muted attack of a traditional felt beater. If you flip the head over, the hard plastic side provides a focused, clearer attack. This allows you to change the character of your bass drum strike without fitting a different beater. Transport has also been taken into account: the lightweight frame with connecting rods – known as radius rods – folds away quickly. Once you reach your destination, simply reconnect the frame for a sturdy setup. This is handy if you regularly take your pedal to rehearsals or gigs at different venues.
