The Sontronics STC-1 small-diaphragm condenser microphone is the ultimate studio problem-solver when it comes to registering more complex acoustic sounds. Think stringed instruments - from acoustic guitars and ukuleles to banjos - all treated with detailed presence, as well as drums and percussion. Fitted with a -10dB pad switch, the STC-1 can comfortably serve as a drum overhead without fear of distortion, and while it already comes including a capsule with a cardioid polar pattern, you can also get compatible omnidirectional and hypercardioid capsules separately.
