General

Dropped straight out of the '60s, the Ludwig Super Series snare is a welcome blast from the past. Decades after the release of the originals, Ludwig have taken their classic recipe and added some welcome modern tweaks. This 14 by 6.5-inch snare is the very first Super Series drum to be blessed with a 'chrome over brass' finish.

Ludwig Super Chrome Over Brass

The Ludwig Super Chrome Over Brass snare is shaped by a seamless brass shell fitted with nickel hardware and comes supported by a Ludwig P88 snare-strainer and P35 butt-end. 'Chrome Over Brass' literally refers to the chrome-plating that coats the brass shell and not only gives it a mouth-watering look but makes the sound of this snare come close to that of something like a Supraphonic. Adorned with a remake of the classic '60s Transition badge, we expect this contemporary throwback to prove just as sought-after as its direct ancestors.
