General

Part of Pearl's amazingly popular Export Series, this 14" x 5.5" snare drum offers sublime value for money and can be played on its own, set up as a side snare, or replace your main snare. The Pearl EXX1455S/C717 sports a High Voltage Blue wrap-finish and, just like the other drums in the series, come made of a mix of poplar and Asian mahogany: two wood types that are known for shaping full-on resonance and sustain. In addition, Pearl have opted for chrome-plated hardware including Low Mass lugs, 45-degree bearing edges and 1.6mm triple flanged hoops - all to ensure solid, consistent sound.

Super Shell Technology

All Export Series snares are made according to Pearl's proprietary Super Shell Technology process. This means the wood is thoroughly inspected before it's precision-milled to size, after which the different plies are glued together at a specific angle for maximum strength. Once dry, the glue has the same density as the wood, creating a durable drum shell that packs optimum resonance.

Toffe snare:

Ondanks de snare maar 8 lugs heeft, bezit de snare ruim voldoende stem mogelijkheden.

Kerel is mooi gemaakt, bearing edges mooi afgewerkt en de hardware is heel degelijk.

De hoops zijn nogal goedkoop en dun.

Onder vel was naar een optreden al compleet aan gort.

Deze snare heeft fantastisch bereik en ziet er geweldig uit, vooral voor de achterlijk lage prijs.

Ontstemt best wel snel maar door een andere hoop of luglocks is hij veel betrouwbaarder.
