General

This little Gretsch snare should not be underestimated! That's because the Gretsch Blackhawk Mighty Mini delivers a hefty amount of volume and projection! The 12 x 5.5-inch shell is made of poplar wood (7-ply) and was fitted with 1.6 mm triple flanged tension edges. The support edges are rounded at a 30-degree angle. However you tune this snare, the punchy, bright sometimes slightly cutting timbre remains! Ideal as a side-snare!
