Pearl's SensiTone series has a great reputation. The down side to that, is that Pearl has to keep raising the bar. Somehow, though, Pearl has managed to live up to all these lofty expectations. This STA1550MH is made of high-quality mahogany and it is one of the showpieces of this series.
Pearl STA1550MH MHX SensiTone snare drum
Because it's made up of four plies of mahogany wood, this STA1550MH has a very warm sound. And because that means the shell is 5mm thick, the snare drum feels extremely solid. The elegant, timeless appearance is combined with modern technology. For instance, this snare is equipped with SN1420I snares and an SR-150 snare strainer. Plus, the SuperHoop II snare strainer and the Remo Coated Ambassador drumheads provide you with an optimal sound. This gives you full control and allows you to enjoy its optimal playing comfort.
