This 14 x 6.5-inch snare drum from Tama's Imperialstar series is made of six plies of poplar. The Tama Precision Bearing Edges and compact Imperialstar lugs ensure the toms can resonate freely and with its 7.5mm thick shells the IPS1465 in Candy Apple Mist has a rich, bright sound.

Tama took a good look at each little detail of their Imperialstar drums, and then decided what needed improvement. A great example is the fact that the wrap has been completely glued to the shell of this snare drum, while other manufacturers only apply glue to a few spots. Gluing the wrap to the entire shell doesn't just improve its resonance, it also gives the snare its professional look. A high-quality wooden snare drum for a very attractive price!
