The Sound Lab Project series by Tama includes some real gems, like this Fat Spruce 14 x 6-inch snare drum that's made of pine, which is a type of wood that is not commonly used in drum shells. This wood type is very dense, which makes it difficult to bend into shape. The 8-ply shell is 7 mm thick and it delivers a warm tone. Thanks to the Die-Cast hoops, this snare can produce a mean rim shot!
