This cool snare drum from Tama can be used as a main snare drum, but also possibly as a side snare! Its compact diameter of 13 inches allows you to tune it quite high, but the depth of 6 inches ensures that the snare does not lose its 'punch' and body at higher tunings. The shell of this Starclassic Maple Exotic snare is made of maple, consists of 8 layers and has a thickness of 7 mm. Highlights of this snare are the cool exotic lacquered finish, the smoked black nickel shell hardware and the Linear Drive string tensioner: you can remove it completely from the snare without losing its tension, allowing you to quickly replace and tune your resonance skin and immediately put the strings back with the correct tension.
