General
With this Tama MES1455 Starclassic Maple snare drum, you get a very cool snare with a beautiful Exotic Lacquer finish. The snare is constructed from a total of no less than eight layers of maple and has excellent sound and resonance characteristics, and an excellent attack. This snare drum with chrome-plated hardware has a diameter of 14-inches and a depth of 5.5-inches, making it a perfect all-rounder. In addition, the snare features die-cast Die-Cast tensioning edges, Starclassic Lugs tensioning blocks and a Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon string mat with 20 strings. The Linear Drive Strainer string tensioner is detachable, making it easy to replace your resonance skin and immediately afterwards reinsert your strings at the correct tension - without unscrewing the strings themselves!
