Maple has the property of producing a very fine all-round sound with a warm, clear tone and smooth resonance - ideal for snare drums. The black nickel-plated, cast tensioning edges provide a balanced, warm sound and also contribute to stable tuning. The rest of the shell hardware also features a black nickel-plated finish! Besides top-quality parts like these tensioning edges, the Starclassic Lugs and Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon string mat, this Tama snare also features the Linear Drive Strainer. This allows you to detach your string mat in one go, without it losing tension.
