Product information

General

Replacing the string mat on an old Pearl Free-Floating snare drum cannot be done with a standard mat. This is because of the special suspension system it is fitted with. PureSound's PF1416 is specially designed to fit this. Thus, the mat has a length of 15.75 inches, so that it protrudes from the 14-inch snare drum and fits into the tensioner. This string mat has 16 strings made of steel, accurately soldered into the end plates. The end plates have both holes and a slot, so that cord and tape can be used to attach the mat. Suitable for snare drums fitted with a Vintage Pearl Free-Floating system.
