If you're still yearning for a white Christmas, or if you need special effects for a production or event, then the Antari S-500 snow machine will do the trick. This powerful machine can shoot up to 400 ml of artificial snow per minute into the air through a 10-metre-long hose. With a tank capacity of 20 litres, you can count on about 50 minutes of heavy snowfall. The machine and tank are integrated into a heavy-duty flight case that measures 59.2 x 55.1 x 65.1 cm. In total, this machine weighs 37.2 kilograms. You can adjust the amount of snow and wind manually, to create anything from a fine snowy mist to a heavy snowfall.

Features of the Antari S-500 Snow Machine

You can operate the Antari S-500 snow machine in various ways. Underneath the LCD display, there are four buttons for selecting different settings. You can adjust the Timer Interval, Timer Duration, Timer Output, Volume Output, Fan Speed, the DMX-512 address, and the wireless (DMX) options manually. In order to make use of the DMX functions, connect the machine to a DMX controller or to another machine in a DMX chain. To use the wireless functionality, connect the Antari W-2 Radio Transmitter to the snow machine.

Please note: Only Antari SL-5/SL-5A snow fluid is compatible with the S-500 snow machine. The use of any other type of fluid can cause damage to the machine.

Wrote the following about Antari S-500 Snow Machine

This appears to be a better built machine than similar machines from other manufacturers that we have had (and broken) in the past. The effect is strong and the machine is quite. One small annoying feature is that when you set it on timer mode, it starts with the 'off' duration. Not so bad if it's a minute on and a minute off as you only have to wait 60 seconds, but if you have 5 minutes off and a minute on, you have quite a wait before you can confirm it's working. With DMX, you can start and control the effect on cue as required. The snow head is plastic and we have seen some that are metal, which would be preferable, but with careful handling, I see no reason why this won't last for many years.
