The name Silver Jubilee is sure to ignite a spark in the hearts of Marshall fans. The Silver Jubilee series tube amps and speaker cabinets came out in 1987 to honour Marshall's (the brand) 25th and Jim Marshall’s (the man) 50th anniversary in business. Soon, these amps and cabinets were completely sold out, which was a pity, as they were exceptionally popular. Luckily, in 2015, Marshall heeded the call by numerous fans for a re-issue. One of these re-issued devices is the Marshall 2551BV Silver Jubilee Straight.

2551BV: straight cabinet with four Celestions

The 2551BV is a straight cabinet (contrary to the slanted-front 2551AV), and a perfect combination with the 255X head. This product is made in England, can handle a power of 280 watts and has the silver-coloured vinyl finish that is so characteristic for the Silver Jubilee Series. Behind the black grille cloth lurk four Vintage 30 speakers of the renowned Celestion company, ready to pounce with a loud, defined sound, tight basses and rich in mids and trebles. The included casters and countersunk handles ensure care-free transportation.
