General
The Two Notes Torpedo Live is the perfect alternative to cabinet miking. It's a professional digital loadbox for guitar and bass guitar. This device allows you to record your valve guitar or bass guitar amplifier at full force, without making a sound or losing your pure, original tone. The Torpedo Live is a clever combination of an analogue 100W reactive loadbox and a powerful 32-bit DSP. It is the baby brother of the highly praised Torpedo VB-101, with a sound that is just as grand. Fitted with 32 realistic cabinet and studio microphone emulations in only a single rack unit.
Two Notes Torpedo Live: User Friendly
Connect the Torpedo Live to the speaker output of your tube amp head (8 ohms, 100 W max). The internal loadbox will then take all the power. If you use a preamplifier, the Torpedo Live even offers you a high-quality amp simulation with 4 types of tubes and options such as pentode/triode and class A or AB. You can connect it to your computer, sound card or recording device via a stereo jack cable, and it offers no fewer than 45 realistic cabinet models (up to 32). Moreover, you can upload up to 512 of your own Impulse Responses (IRs).
Suited for Studio and Live Applications
The Torpedo Live is particularly suited for home and studio use. Thanks to the top-quality design of its electronics, you can enjoy an authentic cabinet sound at any volume you want. Even when recording an entire band, you can isolate your guitar or bass guitar from the other instruments without having to play it in a separate sound booth. On stage, the Tornado Live is also a welcome addition. You can have the exact same sound gig after gig, night after night. You will no longer be dependent on bad - or badly placed - microphones.
