General

The Optogate Toy Phase Tester is a two-part test kit comprising a phantom-powered transmitter housed in an XLR connector and a battery-powered receiver. The transmitter can independently check XLR cables leading to the mixer and, if the wiring is correct, transmits a continuous tone; an LED in the connector indicates any faults. In combination with the receiver, you can also check the phase and pin-to-pin connections of the signal conductors. In addition, you can use test pulses and a (internal or external) microphone to check the acoustic phase of loudspeaker systems.
