Clavia Nord Electro 6D 61 Stage Keyboard
Product no: 9000-0042-2111
Product information
General
In terms of sounds and playability, Nord Electro's 6D stage keyboard has gone up a notch compared to its predecessor. The Electro series keyboards are all about accurately emulating electro mechanical and acoustic instruments. This 61-note version of the 6D features a Fatar keybed with semi-weighted waterfall keys, and nine physical drawbars for that genuine organ playing experience.
New features
The Seamless Transition feature makes it possible to flawlessly switch between the piano, sample synth and organ sections while playing and you can use the split and layer functions to use more than one sound at a time or combine them. The new interface makes it easy to control the 6D's features and the handy Organize mode allows you to quickly arrange programs in any order you desire. The piano section's voice polyphony has been extended and there are more filters too. The sample synth section also has an extended voice polyphony and more memory and the organ section has two additional pipe organ sounds and a Dual Organ mode.
Clavia Nord Electro: Stage-ready
Keyboards in the Electro series are built to perform and each top-quality sound can be quickly and easily adjusted according to your preferences thanks to clearly divided controls for either piano, organ or synth sounds. It's even possible to replace certain sounds via the USB connector and your computer. Various audio, MIDI and pedal inputs and outputs give the 6D even more possibilities.

Clavia Nord Electro 6D 61 Stage Keyboard
Really pleased with both the Nord and with Bax. There was a delay in shipping but I had a gig I really wanted it for and they managed to get it to me in time which I really appreciated. After extensive research, I went with Bax because the price was lower than anywhere else. Really glad I did and will use them again.

Clavia Nord Electro 6D 61 Stage Keyboard

Clavia Nord Electro 6D 61 Stage Keyboard

Clavia Nord Electro 6D 61 Stage Keyboard
Bijgeleverde software verouderd, dus beter downloaden via site Nord....
Klank is gewoon top...
Minpuntje.... er is geen modulatie wheel op dit toestel (perfect vervangbaar met pedaal)

Clavia Nord Electro 6D 61 Stage Keyboard
1. Is the piano playability such a big step forward from my current Kurzweil PC361?
a. Ho well, YES. Not only are the sounds very good, but the keyboard is totally different. As it is also very easy to tweak to get the right piano sound it becomes a real immediate pleasure to play on this only one. Compared to that the PC361 was not at all in the same league.
b. I also tried play DAW pianos from that keyboard and works nicely too. The main difference from the Kurz is that velocity variations are more natural and easier to control. The semi-weighted keyboard is a real pleasure!
2. Do I really use the split functionality? Yes it is quite nice. Especially as you can specify which part is controlled by the sustain pedal
3. How easy is it to work with the organ presets, while the drawbars are physical ones? Not an issue for my personal usage. And the manual organ mode is there to help when needed
4. How easy is it to find interesting synth presets? Not very immediate, but there is a browser by category which is reasonably easy to use.
5. Is the tweakability of the synth and effects sufficient to make it inspiring in a studio context? First impression is not very positive. Some sounds are interesting, but the lack of a real control on the filter means that the sounds governs the way you play it instead of being easy to tweak a sound to your needs.
6. How easily does it integrate with my DAWs (Ableton, Logic Pro X) for syncing tempo, recording the audio output and as a master keyboard?
a. There is NO tempo syncing. That said only the delay would need it but it is still frustrating!
b. Having three sounds but no way to record them separately is already a big limitations. No audio over USB. Come on we are 2018!
c. The 3 different parts cannot be addressed on separate midi channels.
Overall this is a very expensive and quite limited keyboard. At that price point it should have most (all?) the capabilities of the Nord Stage 3 to be really compelling.
I will most probably return it...
