General

The Nord Lead A1 is a powerful, streamlined Analogue Modelling Synthesizer. Equipped with the same engine as the Nord Lead 4, but designed with an eye for efficient programming and sound, this synth has 49 velocity-sensitive keys, a wooden pitch stick and a modulation wheel. The user interface has also been improved to simplify the process of adjusting the oscillator. The oscillator section consists of traditional wave forms as well as digital varieties. With the use of parameters for Pitch, Detune, Shape, Sync, AM, Noise, Dual Osc and FM you can tweak your audio to your heart's desire. You can also enjoy 24-voice polyphony and a 4-part multi-timbral synth.

Nord Lead A1: improved interface

The front panel interface features an improved oscillator section, and the Modulation Envelop has been simplified. Furthermore, the popular Morph function makes it possible to adjust a variety of parameters via velocity or modulation wheel, for influencing your sound in real-time. It can also be connected to computers and laptops via USB-B, whereby the patch librarian by Nord can also be used. This is the best of Nord's current synth technology in one concise interface, made with care in Sweden.

Geweldig apparaat. Analoog is mooi maar zet zoiets als dit er naast en je hebt een mooie klankpalet aanvulling. Simpel te bedienen wat niet betekent dat de klank simpel is. Die is prima. Behoorlijke prijs maar Clavia bied kwaliteit.

Fantastische compacte synthesizer! Het enige negatieve dat ik kan zeggen betreft het keyboard (4 octaafs en zonder aftertouch) en eigenlijk is dat ook prima speelbaar dus niet echt een probleem. Degelijk gebouwd met goede draaiknoppen en toch licht.

De synth klinkt geweldig en heeft een verrassend breed scala aan goede sounds die zowel analoog als digitaal kunnen klinken. Modulatie mogelijkheden zijn beperkter dan bv. bij een DSI synth, maar daar staat weer tegenover dat de A1 heel direct is en intuitief bedienbaar. Wat heel fijn is is dat je heel makkelijk vier onafhankelijke sounds in een performance kunt layeren of splitten zodat je ook zonder programmeren snel een basis kunt leggen. De ingebouwde effecten klinken ook prima. Zeer tevreden!
