Novation is known for releasing innovative, special products time and time again, and the MiniNova is no exception. This very special synthesizer is ideal for developing your own sounds, and it also functions as a fully-fledged vocoder. As such, you can design new sounds and vocals with your own voice, but you can also record speech and vocals for some very special additions to your productions. The MiniNova clearly feels right at home in the studio - you can use it as a software plugin for your DAW and control it in real time. This product combines the great capacity of the synth with the ease of use of your DAW - it's an ideal combination that focuses on high quality.

Synth Engine and the MiniNova's sounds

The MiniNova's synth engine is based on that of its big brother, the UltraNova. You'll have 256 powerful on-board sounds at your disposal, ready to be manipulated into a unique creation. Thanks to five rotary knobs you can easily tweak the sounds down to the smallest detail, while the eight 'Animate' buttons allow you to warp your presets. If you prefer to use your own sounds, that's no problem either. The MiniNova has enough storage room for up to 128 extra sounds. As they can be stored per genre, you can easily find them again for possible tweaking later on. The free software Patch Librarian makes it possible to store more sounds on your computer, and to work with them at a later moment. Don't you have a collection yet? Vocal effects and more

On this MiniNova, vocals are just as important as synth sounds, which is why it features a microphone input and a microphone. A special VocalTune effects sector allows you to find presets for hip hop, dub step, house/techno, and even rock or pop music. You also have a classic vocoder at your disposal. Some extra features include an arpeggiator (to make sequences in real time), and a filter cutoff in the form of a large rotary knob. If you like to work with your own vocals, then simply connect an instrument like an electric guitar or keyboard, for example, and the MiniNova turns into a powerful effects module.
