This particular Nord Stage 2 model, the HA76, features 76 weighted keys with hammer action, and has a range from E to G. It makes an outstanding choice for the piano-minded keyboardist who doesn't need the full 88-key range. The Stage 2 HA76 features the famous three-part piano/organ/synth, and every section offers the best in authentic sound.
Stage 2 HA76: piano section
The corner stone for every stage piano is, of course, and outstanding piano sound,. That of the Nord Stage 2 has actually been behind countless world-famous hits! Its 500 MB of sample memory contains a variety of grand and upright pianos, and you'll also find a selection of Rhodes models, a Wurlitzer A200, a Clavinet D6, a CP-80 and even harpsichords for the Bach fans. The sound of the acoustic pianos is enriched with the String resonance Generation 2, which models the resonance characteristics of strings and the soundboard. When you play the instrument together with the optional Nord Triple Pedal, you can also hear pedal noise, which is the characteristic sound of a partially pressed pedal that helps to further increase your expressive range. The variety of electric pianos are perfect for soul, jazz and rock, and offer everything you need to create warm ballad sounds to distorted Clavinets and Wurlys.
Organ and Synth
The Nord Stage 2 HA756 is also a full-fledged organ, and has nine digital drawbars built in. Thanks to the clear LED indicators, you always know the current settings, which is perfect for live use. Models of the Hammond B3, Vox Continental and Farfisa provide impressive organ sounds, and that's even before you make any modifications with any of the number of overdrive or other effects available. The B3 simulation is considered by many as the most truthful one out there, and that's the result of the careful analysis of all 91 tone wheels of the real Hammond. The Synth section offers a completely different world of synthetic sounds in which analogue modelling such as FM and Wavetable synthesis are available. Sample playback is also supported. The Nord Stage 2 HA76 is supplied including a dust cover, sustain pedal, power and USB cable, and Nord Sample and Piano DVDs.
