Nord instruments are intelligently designed inside and out. This not only makes these stage pianos instantly recognisable, but also the most comprehensive products Clavia Nord have to offer. If you were impressed by the Stage 2 EX series, then the Stage 3 is sure to overwhelm you. This Stage 3 Compact is the lightest and smallest model, hence the name and features 73 semi-weighted Waterfall keys and physical drawbars.
Piano, Organ, and Synth
On every Stage 3, you find a control panel split into four sections dedicated to piano, organ, synth, and effect. To suit the particular needs of live keyboard players, each can be used simultaneously and are fully-adjustable. Once you get the hang of it, you'll quickly see how easy it is to find the sounds and settings you're after. Some of the welcome upgrades included in the design of the Stage 3 are the bright OLED displays, seamless program integration, higher piano polyphony (120 voices instead of 60), double the piano memory (2 GB), and an A1 synth and C2D organ engines.
New Features
For live keyboardists, an instrument can never have enough memory, so the Stage 3's 2 GB piano memory will be apprecaited. You can use the inbuilt sounds, or replace them using the Nord Sound Manager and the organs and synths sound better than ever thanks to the Nord A1 synth engine and Nord C2D organ engine. When editing or selecting sounds and programs, the crystal-clear OLED displays make the experience smooth and intuitive and when toggling between programs, the transition is seamless, making sure that your flow remains uninterrupted. The Clavia Nord Stage 3 is a thoroughly designed, superior quality instrument, simply built for the stage.

Wrote the following about Clavia Nord Stage 3 Compact Stage Piano
I recently wrote a quite skeptical review about the Nord Electro 6D, and honestly since I upgraded to the Nord Stage 3 I know I was right.
Not only does the Nord Stage 3 offer great pianos and organs, but also a very good sounding synth (Easy for "real time" tweaking... less so for sound designers...).
What makes it a very compelling proposition is how everything is organized to let the music flow. It is truly an instrument that inspires to explore new territories without much preparation. It is very easy and rewarding to spend hours simply enjoying the music and letting the inspiration guide you.
It all boils down to how flexible the layers, the effects, the assignation of external controllers (pedals etc...), the morphing, the hold function are. In that regards the Electro 6D IS nice but somewhat limited, the Stage is really in another league!
