General

The Plectrum Series Thomastik AC110 Hybrid Wound strings comes with lower tension bass strings and offer a similar quality of sound and presence than that of a classical guitar. The combination of an incredibly flexible steel core and the bronzed flat-winding of the A, D, and G strings also gives this set the lighter feel and mellow timbre of jazz strings.

The Thomastik AC110 Strings: Hybrid Wound

What makes these strings unique is that they actually combine both flatwound and standard roundwound strings. So the low-E has been roundwound with bronze to fill out the low-end, while the silk-wound round core lowers the tension. It's this alone that also makes these Thomastik Plectrum Series strings a comfortable fit for older, more fragile guitars with a weaker bracing or otherwise more delicate construction. The Thomastik AC110 Extra Light strings come in gauges .010 to .041.

Wrote the following about Thomastik-Infeld AC110 Plectrum Hybrid Wound Extra Light

Great sound and having very light tension work excellent for playing solos on electro-acoustic.
Bad point is that wounding on G-string breaks, so, one star less..
I changed G-string with rotosound 015 and seems to be even better..
