Fender unveils a new fresh blue colour for the 3/4-sized MA-1 parlour guitar. Its smaller size makes it ideal for children between the ages of eight and eleven. Adults looking for a suitable guitar to travel with should also consider this compact model. A smaller guitar means a lower price tag, which makes this guitar perfect for beginners who want a quality Fender instrument to start on.
MA-1: warm sound and stylish looks
Fender chose sapele for the sides and back of this guitar to give it a warm, full sound and impressive look. In combination with the agathis top, the MA-1 has a lovely balanced sound. The MA-1 is fitted with Fender Dura-Tone 880L strings that add the sort of sparkle you can expect from an acoustic guitar. The Fender logo on the headstock and the decorated sound hole rosette make the MA-1 a real eye catcher.
Easy to play
As soon as you pick up the MA-1, you'll notice the familiar feel of the modern C profile. The rosewood fretboard adds extra warmth to the overall sound and has 18 vintage-style frets. Fender has fitted the MA-1 with improved tuners because they know there is almost nothing more annoying than a guitar that won't stay in tune. Lastly, a rosewood bridge with compensated saddles and a string nut made of synthetic bone provide excellent intonation.

Fans of punk in general, and Tim Armstrong in particular, are in for a treat. Fender has created a new version of the Tim Armstrong Hellcat in a matte black finish. The neck has a natural finish that contrasts beautifully with the rest of the body. If you want one, you'll have to be quick though, because only 68 of these have been made!
