The AVD10 Brown Violin Sunburst is an acoustic guitar from Ibanez' Artwood Vintage Thermo Aged series. It combines modern construction and playing comfort with the characteristic sound of a model that's been played for years. It has a solid spruce top and a mahogany back that have both been baked to reduces the amount of moisture in the wood to the same level as that on a vintage acoustic guitar. This process results in a warmer sound, with more sparkle, dynamics and definition in both the low and high frequencies.

AVD10: materials, hardware and inlays

The sides and set-in neck on this dreadnought are also made of mahogany, while the bridge and fretboard are both made of rosewood. The compensated bridge saddle and string nut are made of bone which further enhance the AVD10's rich sound. Other features which take this acoustic guitar model to the next level include the butterbean pegs on the Grover machine heads and the specially-designed mother-of-pearl fretboard inlays.
