This guitar has a top made of solid cedar, a wood type that's known for emphasising soft tones. It's ideal for dynamic playing, and even the softest attacks can cut right through the mix!

Subtle Dreadnought

Dreadnoughts with a spruce top are more common and tend to produce more volume, but the risk is that your dynamics and subtlety might get lost in the mix. A cedar top is a different story. You don't have to worry about the volume, which is guaranteed by the hefty Dreadnought size and solid wooden top.

Hardware and finish

If a good steel-string guitar wants to hold its own in the mid-range price bracket, it needs to meet a certain list of requirements. James Neligan distinguishes themselves from the competition with their flawless finishes and top-notch hardware. The string nut and bridge saddle are both NuBone compensated and the machine heads are built for the long haul. The extremely elegant binding and inlay around the sound hole are also characteristics of the high-quality craftsmanship of James Neligan.
