General

This Recording King RD-26 is an all-solid Dreadnought guitar from the brand's Classic Series II. It's a steel-string acoustic with a solid American spruce top and solid African mahogany sides and back as well as a one-piece mahogany neck. As a result, this handmade guitar boasts a loud, full, and expressive sound and excellent sound properties. The RD-26 is an ideal all-solid acoustic that's affordable, equipped with plenty of handy functions, and made with pure craftsmanship.

RD-26: solid construction for optimal tone

Unlike laminated wood, a solid-wood guitar is actually lighter, and it allows the body to resonate more freely, giving you more volume and a deeper, richer tone. The top is made of Engelmann spruce, a type of pine wood that's known for its tight basses, strong mids and sweet trebles. The sides and back are made of mahogany, and provide extra warmth and a crystal-clear high. This RD-26 offers a broad, balanced sound that's suitable for a wide range of genres and playing styles.

Old-school quality

This steel-string guitar features various characteristics that come straight out of the thirties, such as the traditional diamond-style carved heel, a classically-shaped tortoiseshell pickguard, butterbean-style machine heads, pearloid crown inlays in the headstock and abalone snowflake inlays in the fretboard. What's more, this RD-26 uses the forward X-brace system for good stability, strong resonance in the lower registers, and more clarity in the high. This guitar is perfect for use in a band with other full-sounding acoustic instruments such as banjos and fiddles.

Recording King RD-26 acoustic steel-string guitar, natural

Wrote the following about Recording King RD-26 acoustic steel-string guitar, natural
