General

The warm, dark appearance of the Yamaha FS830 TBS concert steel-string guitar with solid top is enriched by the sunburst finish and rosewood sides and back. Being a concert-style guitar, this instrument offers a more compact sound than its Dreadnought counterpart. For the past fifty years, Yamaha's FG and FS series have been as popular as the day they were launched. This guitar offers excellent construction, perfect finish and powerful tones thanks to the solid top, all at an affordable price!

Full, resonant tones

The addition of a solid (as opposed to laminated) top is an important contributor to the sound of an acoustic guitar. It ensures an audibly fuller sound with more resonance. Yamaha have paid close attention to other elements in this instrument as well, including the scalloped bracing to improve bass and mid-tone projection, a slender neck and rolled fret edges.
