Being a concert-style guitar, this instrument offers a more compact sound than its Dreadnought counterpart. Full, resonant tones

The addition of a solid (as opposed to laminated) top is an important contributor to the sound of an acoustic guitar. It ensures an audibly fuller sound with more resonance. Yamaha have paid close attention to other elements in this instrument as well, including the scalloped bracing to improve bass and mid-tone projection, a slender neck and rolled fret edges.
