A picture of craftsmanship, this Yamaha LS56 Custom ARE is beautifully finished and has a great sound. This custom model was produced by Yamaha's best guitar builders and made of specially selected woods and materials. As such, the top is fashioned from solid Engelmann spruce, and the sides and back are made of solid rosewood. The wood of this special top model is finished with nitrocellulose lacquer for the best possible gloss. With its beautiful abalone body bindings, mother-of-pearl position markers, tortoise shell pickguard and gold-plated TM-67G tuners, this guitar is the top of luxury.

A deluxe instrument deserves a top-of-the line neck, and that's why the LS56 Custom features a neck of mahogany and rosewood, which is internally mounted with an adjustable truss rod and features a volute at the headstock for extra strength. Bending or warping isn't going to be an issue with this neck, which was built to last, and you can be sure of excellent playing comfort thanks to the slim design, smooth lacquer and ebony fretboard. All of this comes together to offer supple playing and a powerful response. Acoustic Resonance Enhancement

Yamaha's ARE technology is a special wood-treatment process that Yamaha has applied to the top of the guitar. During this process, different elements such as the temperature, moisture and air pressure are controlled to change the molecular makeup of the wood to match that of older, vintage guitars. This means that you get a great, rich sound right out of the box - a sound you'd normally have to wait years for.
