General

The Pirastro Chorda string set for cello has been specially developed for baroque instruments. The A and D strings are made of pure sheep gut, while the G and C strings are wound with silver-plated copper wire. This gives the set a brilliant and mellow sound with a wide dynamic range. Thanks to the low string tension, playing feels comfortable for the left hand. This set is tuned for 440 Hz, but for 415 Hz the "strong" version is recommended. The Chorda strings are an excellent choice for cellists seeking an authentic sound.
